Indo Master

As a scuba diving vessel operating in the breathtaking waters of Indonesia, we at Indo Master by Chakana Liveaboard understand the profound impact our industry has on the environment. The ocean is not just our workplace; it’s a vibrant ecosystem that supports countless species and livelihoods. By contributing to carbon footprint reduction efforts, we are taking a crucial step toward preserving this natural wonder for future generations. Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond our operations; it’s about protecting the very waters that give us so much joy and inspiration.
We are thrilled to be part of the transformative project by Fairventures, which aims to plant millions of trees and restore the balance of our planet. Each tree planted not only helps combat climate change but also supports local communities by creating economic opportunities. This partnership is a reminder that we can all make a difference, no matter how small our contributions may seem. We believe that through our collective efforts, we can foster a healthier planet and a more sustainable future.
Help to Protect Indonesia’s Forests and Underwater Ecosystems
We hope that our involvement in Fairventures initiative will raise awareness within the diving community and beyond. It’s essential for everyone to understand the impact of their actions on the environment and to take steps towards sustainability. We encourage our fellow divers, marine enthusiasts, and industry partners to join us in this vital cause. Together, we can ensure that the beauty of Indonesia’s underwater world remains intact for generations to come.
The 100 Million Trees Project
Forests are under threat worldwide. Especially in tropical countries, where they fulfil important functions for biodiversity, the global water cycle and carbon sequestration, deforestation is progressing rapidly.
At Fairventures, we work with smallholder farmers on the island of Borneo in Indonesia to reforest degraded land with timber and food crops. The aim is to counteract climate change, protect ecosystems and offer local people long-term economic prospects.
In 2020, Fairventures reached the milestone of 1 million seedlings distributed, reforesting almost 600 hectares of land. In order to make an even greater contribution with the learning experiences and partnerships from previous years, we have now set ourselves a new goal and would like to support smallholder farmers in planting 100 million trees in the next few years.
We are delighted not to have to go down this path alone and are enormously grateful for the loyal supporters like Master Liveaborads who make our work possible.
