We Are Pragmatic Visionaries!
Fairventures Worldwide is a non-profit organization based in Stuttgart, Germany. We combine forestry and modern technologies to reforest degraded areas in the tropics. In cooperation with smallholder farmers in Indonesia and Uganda, we create sustainable forests from timber and food crops. These provide local people with a secure income, help to preserve biodiversity and counteract climate change.
Together with partners from academia, the business community and the public sector, we combine reforestation with sustainable value chains in the timber industry to replace climate-damaging building materials such as concrete, cement and steel. We finance our work with donations, grants, corporate partnerships and consulting services.
Where We Work
Our Structure
Fairventures Worldwide (FVW) is registered in Germany as a non-profit limited liability company (gGmbH). This means that all our earnings are used strictly for non-profit purposes. Besides our headquarters in Stuttgart, we also operate from country offices in Indonesia and Uganda.
Our sister company Fairventures Social Forestry (FSF) is set up as a private sector entity to scale up our agroforestry approach. By being able to receive investments, we can reforest even larger areas in the tropics and expand our impact.
The TREEO app of our sister company Fairventures Digital GmbH links climate-responsible companies with smallholder farmers in the tropics to reforest degraded land. In this way, smallholder farmers are getting a fair share for their contribution to the climate.
