Thank you, ClimaClic! What the support since the beginning of the year has made possible

Thanks to lottery ticket purchases through ClimaClic, we can plant 2,400 new trees on degraded land in Uganda and provide Farmer Field School training to even more people in Indonesia this year. 

Since 2023, our two country programs have been part of the project selection for ClimaClic, Germany’s first climate lottery. Ticket sales generate donations for nonprofit climate protection projects, including our work.

In the first half of this year, more than €12,000 was raised through ClimaClic to support our work in Uganda. Thanks to these donations, we can plant 2,400 new trees on degraded land. 

As reforestation depends on the rainy season, the seedlings will be distributed and planted during the next planting season. This gives them the best conditions to establish successfully.

Deforestation is often driven by a lack of alternative sources of income. In our Farmer Field Schools, we demonstrate how the targeted cultivation of fast-growing, native trees and cover crops can secure a sustainable income while also protecting the climate. Over €4,500 were raised for the Farmer Field Schools in Indonesia through ClimaClic in the first half of the year. Thank you very much!
