Ludwigsburg District Newspaper: How STIHL is Committing to Transparent Reforestation

8. September 2025|In Indonesia, News, Uganda

Since 2017, STIHL has been supporting our mission to empower smallholder farmers and reforest degraded landscapes in Uganda and Indonesia.

In 2022, we intensified our collaboration and launched the largest project in Fairventures’ history. The goal: to reforest areas that will sequester around 120,000 tons of CO₂ in the long term. The pilot phase was successfully completed at the end of 2024 – a significant milestone for our partnership.

Now the Waiblingen-based company is going one step further. The TREEO Impact Storyboard enables STIHL to combine sustainability reporting with transparent data and figures, as well as personal stories. It was designed by our sister company TREEO.

STIHL shows how genuine CO₂ transparency and personal stories can go hand in hand and ideally complement traditional reporting. Together, we remain committed to empowering smallholder farmers, planting trees, and creating sustainable change for people and our planet.
