Fairventures Worldwide wins the Google.org Impact Challenge 2018

As part of the Google.org Impact Challenge, the nationwide contest for social projects, Fairventures Worldwide has won the public voting and the respective award of 500.000 Euro. Prizewinning with 70.000 online votes, our lighthouse project “T ³- Tree Tracking Technology“, a platform that allows smallholders to become a part of global, sustainable value chains in the timber sector through digitalization, made it to the top.

Under the slogan „small actions can make a big difference“, the selection process of the second Google.org Impact Challenge started in November 2017 with the aim to promote innovative ideas in associations and nonprofit organizations. Over 2.5000 project ideas have been submitted in the past six months, of which 62 projects have been selected, including  our project as one of the top ten lighthouse projects. The final of the competition took place in Berlin on June 7, and we were excited to receive this special award.

We want to say a SPECIAL THANK YOU for the extraordinary support of everyone taking part in the online voting and helping us to reach the final!

As a winner, we are also looking forward to the collaboration with Ashoka and betterplace.org, accompanying us as mentors and coaches throughout this project.
